The other day I was having a conversation with a fellow business owner who was beating herself up for not having the numbers she was hearing her competitors rave about on the internet. She dropped names of how one person made 6 figures and another made 7. She didn’t understand why her profits weren’t anywhere near what these people were sharing. My colleague felt completely discouraged until I reminded her of the difference in revenue vs profit.
While it’s great that these business owners are doing so well in their businesses, more than likely these people are sharing their revenue numbers and not their profits. Meaning they’re not sharing what they’re actually taking home.
The problem with this is that it’s kind of misleading. It leaves the rest of us in the comparison trap of wondering what we’re doing wrong.
In this video, I’m breaking down the difference between revenue and profit and why those differences should matter to you. I’ll be sharing an easy-to-use formula that you can use in your own business. This way, you can understand better what your revenue vs profit is.
