Behind-the-Scenes: What My Money Meetings Look Like

Biz Money

On this post, I thought I would do something a little bit different than what I normally do – and that is to actually take you behind the scenes and show you what my money meetings look like. I conduct my money meetings twice a month, generally 5 days after the end of the month and 5 days after the middle of the month. I adjust those days depending on when the 15th and when the end of the month actually falls since I prefer to do my money meetings on a Thursday.

But of course, if you’re looking to start doing money meetings for your business, you can come up with a schedule that works best for you, too. The point, really, is just to pick a time that works best for you. The reason why I want to do them twice a month is that for me, that feels like I’m checking in enough but not too much. I especially like doing them right after the middle of the month so that I have plenty of time to make any adjustments for the remaining part of the month. And of course, having a money meeting after the end of the month helps me to see how the past month went so that I can make adjustments for the new month.

Inside The Video

In the video, I’ll show you the steps I take to make sure that I accomplish everything I need to do during my money meetings. Here are the steps that I’ll be discussing in detail:

  • 1: Preparing for my Meeting
  • 2: Review Money Meeting Goals
  • 3: Income Statement Review
  • 4: Balance Sheet / Cash Flow Review
  • 5: Looking Ahead
  • 6: Pivoting & Adjusting
  • 7: Wrapping It Up

Watch the video now to get the full details on each important step! If you’re currently ignoring the numbers in your business or trying to pay attention but not sure what to look for, then this is perfect for you.
